Excavator Crane Topples Onto Worker In Downtown Montreal Construction Accident

Early Thursday morning in downtown Montreal a crane toppled onto a construction worker leaving the man suffering with cuts to his hands and a broken ankle.

The incident occured just after 2 AM on Belmont Street near the corner of Mansfield Street and Robert-Bourassa Boulevard.

A second worker was treated for shock following the accident. Luckily, neither workers injuries were life threatening.

Quebec's workplace health and safety board is presently investigating the circumstances that led to the accident. There are no further details at this moment of the cause of the accident.
