Planning that started over 10 years ago has finally come to fruition; the birth of the new Kelowna Yacht Club. Located off the shores of Okanagan Lake in the cultural district of Kelowna B.C. at 1370 Water Street, the new and improved Yacht Club is a sight to see.

With a rich history in the local community, the Kelowna Yacht Club beautifully mirrors the spirited sailing and nautical culture which Kelowna is known to epitomize. Upon entering the club, a dazzling main feature is displayed in the atrium with the grand stair case, setting an atmosphere of classic and exquisite style.

With a clean, vintage and charming decor with touches of history from the original yacht club, the new Yacht Club has managed to fuse a modern look while maintaining the spirit of the original club.

As a large part of the community for the past 70 years, the Kelowna Yacht Club proudly boasts their huge moorage basin which is currently at full capacity with over 200 boaters on the waiting list.

More amenities are available at he new location with fully equipped washrooms, showering facilities and change rooms. Banquet halls and board meeting rooms can also be found.

With a highlight on nautical culture, the sailing room can be used for educational seminars for the youth including boat safety classes, sailing lessons and related nautical education. The sailing room helps to keep Kelowna's aquatic traditions alive and well. Although being a private club, the banquet, board meeting, and sailing rooms are available for rent for public related events..

The new building is 3 times the size of the original club. The site preparation and construction of the improved Yacht Club has been in progress for nearly two years and was funded soley by the club themselves. The total cost for the project came in on budget at $10 Million (CAD).

The club had a "soft launch" on August 11, 2014, as employees moved to the new building.

Yacht Club membership fee's are affordable and very family oriented. There are options to purchase a social membership, which grants access to the club and club activities and a full membership for access to both the club and moorage.
